Another Food Hall is in the Works in Central Florida
Various food concepts will be joining The Food Factory, a 14,500 SF food hall in the Oviedo on the Park development. This is continuation of the latest trend of food halls popping up in Central Florida everywhere from Downtown Orlando to near Walt Disney World
Jill Rose, Vice President of Retail Services for Bishop Beale Duncan, says these food halls are highly dependent on a diverse lineup of tenants and a strong operator to be successful. They are expensive to run because of the multiple hoods and grease traps, for example, needed for each of the stations. “It’s not as easy as people think,” she said.
